Popular YouTuber Set To Release New Horror Film

The creators of The Haunting of Sunshine Girl, a popular paranormal web series, are set to release a creepy new film in the thriving docu-horror genre.

The folks responsible for bringing us the popular paranormal web series The Haunting of Sunshine Girl will soon be releasing a new feature film, titled “3.” The crew, consisting of the young Paige McKenzie, her mother actress Mercedes Rose, and their Producer Nick Hagan, just wrapped up filming “3,” which they say is an “old fashioned ghost story with a twist.” The film will travel back to the 1980s to tell a story that’s filled with ghosts, chills, thrills, and of course, a lot of 80s synth music.

This new film, which is the second feature film from this team, will kick off an exciting new era for the popular Haunting of Sunshine Girl YouTube channel. The “Sunshine Team” is officially expanding the channel, making it a full online network that will feature content from other creators and producers.

The Haunting of Sunshine Girl YouTube channel started back in December, 2010, featuring only the title series. Since then, they have gained a huge following and started adding more content. Some of the other original series now featured on the channel include shows about zombies, Bigfoot, and even screen printing. They have also uploaded some of their short films, including M is for Migraine which I wrote about back in October.

The “Sunshine Team” is always busy doing new things. The last time I had an extended dialogue with the self-proclaimed “YouTube not-star” Paige McKenzie, she was not only reaping the benefits of having been featured in YouTube’s “on the rise” program but was also being featured in Seventeen Magazine’s Pretty Amazing Girls competition. She even had the opportunity to head out to the Seventeen Magazine headquarters in New York over the summer.

In addition to continuing the production of their own content, the crew is very supportive of independent film-making and they’re encouraging other independent filmmakers and content creators to submit their content for consideration. If the crew approves the content it will be uploaded to The Haunting of Sunshine Girl Network which means it will automatically reach a lot of people. The YouTube channel currently has well over 95,000 subscribers and they’re now averaging about 5.5 million views per month.
